The Ananda Hemp Difference

Ananda Hemp offers high-quality and federally-compliant products made with full spectrum CBD oil extracted from 100% Kentucky-grown hemp. We cultivate every plant that goes into our high-end CBD products with organic farming practices. Additionally, all of our formulas are third-party laboratory quality-tested and guaranteed free of contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, and mold.

We use a highly effective ethanol extraction technique that allows us to pull an array of cannabinoids and hundreds of bioactive phytonutrients from the hemp - resulting in a potent CBD Oil that is truly deserving of the title 'full spectrum.'

BROAD AND FULL SPECTRUM CBD OIL

At Ananda Hemp, we pride ourselves on creating the world's most pure and potent full-spectrum CBD oils, softgels, and salves. Our most popular products (the Full Spectrum CBD tinctures) are a choice blend of our very own cold-pressed hemp seed oil, premium full spectrum hemp extract, botanical terpenes, and MCT oil (sustainably-sourced from coconuts).

These tinctures are available in strengths of 300mg, 600mg, and 2000mg - as well as the 600mg Zero THC formula (full spectrum CBD without the THC = broad spectrum CBD). You can take our tincture any time of day (see our page on dosing CBD for more information), although we do recommend dosing in the evening when you are first starting.

All of Ananda Hemp's tinctures, regardless of potency, come in amber glass bottles and contain a dropper applicator with measurement markers (.25, .50, .75, and 1mL), allowing for precision and flexibility when taking your CBD.

Milligrams per dropperful:

300 = 10mg of CBD per 1mL
600 = 20mg of CBD per 1mL
2000 = 40mg of CBD per 1mL

Grown and extracted in the USA, our premium, full spectrum CBD oil is 100% legal and compliant under the federal guidelines set forth in the 2018 Farm Bill.

SEED TO HEALTH

All of our products start their journey from proprietary seeds. Our parent company, Ecofibre Ltd. owns the most extensive private cannabis seed bank in the world granting us access to the best hemp genetics available.

Our seeds are planted in the rich, fertile soil of Kentucky at a latitude known by researchers to be an ideal hemp-growing climate. We always use organic growing practices - which means no pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs - and our products are Certified Glyphosate free.

We work with generational farmers who take great pride in working with our hemp plants. Our crops are sun-grown, planted, and harvested by hand - and depend solely on Kentucky rainwater - no irrigation.

After harvest, our hemp is taken to our LEED Platinum Plus facility (located less than 20 miles from the fields). Here they undergo ethanolextraction. While many CBD manufacturers opt for supercritical CO2 extraction, we find that ethanol produces far superior results for hemp extracts.

In our extraction process, food-grade ethanol is passed through the hemp flowers at low temperatures. During this simmer, we gently cradle the flowers as they mix with the ethanol and create natural friction, producing a vapor that is full of beneficial compounds. We then recirculate the ethanol through the plant matter multiple times, allowing for maximum extraction.

Our sophisticated ethanol extraction process effectively removes undesirable plant waxes and chlorophyll without the high-heat exposure used in other extraction methods. While supercritical CO2 extraction is very selective for a limited range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and waxes, ethanol can extract virtually every phytonutrient found in hemp.

Ethanol Extracted CBD

While our distillation process to evaporate the ethanol is very gentle, there is some unavoidable loss of terpene content during this step. To compensate, we supplement with a botanical terpene blend with proven therapeutic benefits - terpenes that occur naturally in hemp.

Every product we sell is third-party tested by ISO-certified laboratories to provide the utmost in quality, safety, and transparency. Look at the batch number located on the back of our packaging, type that number into our CoA (Certificate of Analysis) lookup tool, and instantly see the lab results for the bottle you hold in your hand.

WHAT IS CBD OIL?

CBD oil (also known as a CBD tincture) generally refers to a carrier oil (MCT, hemp seed oil, olive oil, etc.) blended with either one or many cannabinoids. 'CBD oil' is the overarching category of hemp-derived CBD in an ingestible oil. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 100+ phytocannabinoids (plant-based cannabinoids) in the Cannabis sativa genus of plants. A cannabinoid is any compound that acts on cannabinoid receptors in the endocannabinoid system.

However, this is only a vague description, and CBD oil products vary significantly in their ingredients and effectiveness.

Ananda Hemp CBD Oil consists of cold-pressed hemp seed oil (which we press in-house, from hemp seeds that we grow), MCT oil, full spectrum hemp extract, and a botanical terpene blend. Our products stand in a league of their own, providing your body with hundreds of hemp-based nutrients such as:

  • Cannabinoids (CBD, THC, CBC, CBG, CBDV)
  • Terpenes (myrcene, limonene, pinene, linalool, b-caryophyllene, terpinene, eucalyptol)
  • Flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin, kaempferol, quercetin, and cannflavin A and B)
  • Alkamides (immune-promoting compounds)

This plethora of benefits stands in stark contrast to the more widespread CBD Isolate products, which lack the renowned 'entourage effect.' This term was coined by Ralph Mechoulam (the first person to isolate CBD and THC from cannabis) to illustrate a 2 + 2 = 5 effect, resulting from the profound synergy of ingesting multiple cannabinoids simultaneously.

CBD isolate tends to be the result of a long extraction process that employs the use of petroleum-based solvents like pentane, resulting in a white crystalline powder that is 99.9% CBD. While, in theory, this may sound like the purist's way of taking CBD, it is comparable to eating ascorbic acid in place of an orange.

Why take CBD oil?

Virtually every animal on Earth (vertebrates and invertebrates) has an endocannabinoid system.

Considering this, it's easy to imagine how essential cannabinoids are to the proper functioning of our brains and bodies. Cannabinoid receptors exist throughout every part of our body, and play a central role in maintaining balance, or 'homeostasis.' Unfortunately, due to the realities of modern living, many of us do not produce sufficient amounts of endocannabinoids (cannabinoids made naturally in the human body) to maintain health and well-being.

Indeed, health experts have created the term 'Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome' to describe this exact problem. Many now believe that several chronic, degenerative issues have their roots in this syndrome - meaning that by boosting your body's cannabinoid levels, you could potentially support various health conditions.

Enter CBD. CBD inhibits an enzyme known as FAAH, the primary molecule that breaks down anandamide - the 'bliss molecule.' Anandamide is the most well-known as widely-studied endocannabinoid in existence, and taking CBD allows your body to have more of it. Of course, this is only one way that CBD interacts with your body to promote health and well-being. According to scientific research, CBD is thought to interact with the following receptors beneficially:

  • Cannabinoid (CB1, CB2)
  • TRPV1
  • GPR55
  • PPAR-gamma
  • Adenosine
  • Glycine
  • Dopamine (D2)
  • Serotonin (5-HT1A, 5-HT3A)
  • Opioid (mu, delta)
  • GABA-a
  • a7-AChR

Collectively, these crucial receptors control a dizzying array of functions in our bodies, shedding light on why CBD may be so useful for such a wide variety of health challenges.

CBD Oil FAQ

What is Full Spectrum CBD Oil?

Full spectrum hemp CBD oil is the pure oil extracted from hemp, which is bursting with natural cannabinoids and phytonutrients. Unlike isolated or synthetic cannabinoids, full spectrum hemp CBD oil contains an array of cannabinoids, as well as many essential vitamins and minerals, fatty acids, flavonoids, and terpenes. These compounds have been proven to work synergistically - meaning they are more effective when presented together, as opposed to isolated or purified molecules.

Does Full Spectrum CBD Oil contain THC?

Many people are concerned that CBD may cause effects related to marijuana (or THC) use. Fortunately, there is no need for worry as full spectrum CBD oil is procured from hemp that contains less than .3% THC (trace levels that will not cause intoxication). However, we believe that this small amount of THC works synergistically with the other nutrients found in full-spectrum hemp CBD oil - and this belief is supported by scientific research.

Is CBD Oil Safe?

To quote a report  published by the World Health Organization, “CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile.” The article goes on to say, “several countries have modified their national controls to accommodate CBD as a medicinal product. To date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?

Oftentimes companies will confuse these two terms, either intentionally for marketing purposes, or unintentionally due to the fact that CBD is a relatively new industry.

Hemp oil (also known as hemp seed oil) is pressed from hemp seeds, resulting in a nutrient rich oil full of essential fatty acids, chlorophyll, and various other nutrients. Many experts agree that hemp seed oil is the ideal carrier oil for CBD - which is why we use it in our full line of premium CBD products.

CBD oil is pressed directly from the flower of the hemp plant (and in some cases the stalk and stems, which has little cannabinoid content). More often than not CBD oil refers to a blend of cannabinoids and terpenes (obtained via an extraction process on the hemp) carried in an oil (such as hemp oil).

What is the difference between cannabis, hemp, and marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are both Cannabis. Cannabis Sativa L. is simply the botanical name for the plant, of which hemp and marijuana are two different types.

Hemp is known to have higher amounts of cannabinoids, such as CBD, CBG, CBN etc. and lower amounts of THC. Whereas marijuana has been bred over time to have higher amounts of THC and small amounts of other beneficial cannabinoids.

CBD products made from marijuana remain federally illegal; whereas the hemp that we use in our products is federally legal.

Will I be able to pass a drug test with Ananda Hemp products?

Our products contain less than .3% THC. However, because of the fat-soluble nature of THC and other cannabinoids, accumulation may reach levels that can be detected by a routine drug test.

There are many variables, such as individual genetics, lifestyle, and metabolism that make it difficult to know if you will pass a drug test. If you are concerned with passing a drug test, we do not recommend using any of our products.

Check out our blog for more information on CBD and drug testing.

Are your products Non-GMO? Vegan? Gluten-free?

Ananda Hemp is proud to be 100% Non-GMO and gluten-free, and all of our CBD oils/tinctures are completely vegan.
